An airport in London has added a Pickleball Court to their facilities! “We like to promote fun, activity and teamwork here at the London International Airport,” said Airport President Scott McFadzean. “Pickleball is a great way to stay active and enjoy time with family and friends. We also see it as a way to give back to our community and provide a fun and safe place for staff, tenants and the general public to play.”
How amazing is that! It's also free.... Forget first class and taking non-stop flights.. I would purposely take a flight with a layover in London just to partake in the games and meet new people.
Last month I flew in John Wayne Airport for a Pickleball Tournament and surprisingly landed early! I had only carry on and Dave was still 30 minutes out from his drive into town to pick me up... So you can see in the video, I found a nook where I could practice. The feedback was so much fun and a couple that had been on my flight caught a glimpse and came over, asked a bunch of questions and ended up making their way to San Clemente to watch the tournament. Now with dave driving a Tesla (which is awesome in many ways... they have awesome technology and hello no gas or oil changes!!! But I am a time is money kind of girl) we have managed makeshift pickleball courts and practice at every stop as well. Imagine Pickleball Courts next to Electric Car charging stations... Now that would get me to buy an electric Car right there!!!
